Bill Would Allow Projects to Avoid Permits
HB376 HD1 – would allow development projects to get automatic approvals if under-staffed agencies fail to rule on permit requests within 60 days. The state testified that applicants often take longer than 60 days to respond to requests for comment – an easy way to game the system and allow ill-conceived and possibly even dangerous projects to proceed without proper review. The Finance Committee will hold a hearing tomorrow Wednesday at 11:00am in House Conference Room 308.
Address your testimony to the Finance Committee Chair, Marcus Oshiro.
